Since our inception in 2017, 3GEM has worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from small and large associations, start-up companies, post-secondary schools, and non-profits. Given our background in working at and with large educational technology companies, we have experience in all sectors of the learning space.
American College of Rheumatology (ACR)
3GEM has worked with the ACR since 2019 on a number of strategic initiatives, including but not limited to:
Designing the ACR’s 5-year operational educational plan
Leading the search and implementation of a replacement learning management system
Co-leading the strategy to shift ACR’s annual meeting (~14,000+ attendees) to virtual at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. 3GEM identified, implemented and supported the technology backbone for that meeting and subsequent ACR virtual and blended meetings, typically consisting of 1800+ e-posters and 2500+ sessions
Designing a member support strategy, and subsequently selecting and implementing a knowledge base and ticketing system
Supporting the content delivery strategy for several key educational programs, including The Training Rheum, V-FIT and a new program to provide rheumatology training to non-rheumatology providers to address rheumatology workforce shortages
American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC)
3GEM initially became involved with AAVMC when asked to assess AAVMC’s integration needs as part of another consultancy’s LMS platform selection engagement with the organization. Subsequently, 3GEM has worked with AAVMC to implement the LMS that was selected, including branding, site configuration, content strategy and loading and more. 3GEM also supported AAVMC in its RFP for a technology stack consultant. 3GEM continues to support AAVMC with LMS strategic planning, day-to-day LMS management, and is currently helping provide support to their premier Leadership Academy course.
The National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA)
3GEM has supported NIMAA since 2017. Initially, 3GEM was engaged to build a strategic plan for NIMAA’s future people, process and technology requirements to grow as an online medical assistant school. At the time, NIMAA had 20 students. NIMAA has since grown to support two annual cohorts of approximately 125 students each. 3GEM has led every NIMAA tech initiative during that time, including:
Selection, implementation and management of NIMAA’s LMS
Selection, implementation and management of a student tracking system to support the admissions process, student and alumni tracking, externship organization management, communication, reporting and more.
RFP process to select a formal Student Information System (SIS)
Policy and process development and oversight, including design of NIMAA’s student admissions process and approach to attendance tracking
Implementation of a ticketing system and knowledge base for internal and external use
Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest
3GEM was honored to support PPPSW in an organizational assessment of PPPSW’s current training systems and structure for onboarding and continuing education, including strengths and opportunities for improvement. We evaluated the effectiveness of positions and programs related to training, resulting in the development of an optimized organization map to meet training needs. We focused on how to better support trainees once they leave the classroom, while minimizing impact to productivity. And finally reviewed PPPSW’s preparedness to execute current and future strategic initiatives of the organization.
Wireless Infrastructure Association
3GEM has worked with WIA since 2021, supporting two of WIA’s key initiatives - the Telecommunications Education Center (TEC) and Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP). For WIA, 3GEM:
Lead the selection and implementation process to replace WIA’s LMS with a more cost-efficient and robust platform that could support both TEC and TIRAP needs
Built WIA’s Telecommunications Workforce Center, including all aspects of data migration, site configuration, e-commerce strategy, client support, content loading and more.
Helped the TIRAP team develop innovative strategies to support employers who have signed on to TIRAP’s 12 apprentice occupations, with regards employer onboarding, technology support, strategy to meet Required Technical Instruction requirements, competency tracking, and more.
Supported strategic development of other workforce initiatives.
The Weitzman Institute
3GEM has worked with The Weitzman Institute on several key projects, including:
Designing the provider training strategy for the Prescription for Play program, a co-initiative with the Lego Foundation
Selecting WI’s first learning management system and leading implementation and content migration
Supporting several WI programs in building out an online application process for grant initiatives, as well as e-commerce for online training offerings
The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM)
One of 3GEM’s first clients, 3GEM has helped the Alliance with several initiatives, starting with an organizational learning assessment design to determine the need for an LMS adoption (or not). Since that initiative, 3GEM has continued to support AAIM with an educational assessment to determine high value educational initiatives the Alliance could endeavor, as well as the pilot development of a DEI webinar series and other strategic learning initiatives.
Softwood Lumber Board
3GEM helped the Softwood Lumber Board select and implement its first learning management system, to help support the continuing education needs of architects, engineers, code officials, general contractors and designers. The Wood Institute comprises content from three different stakeholder organizations - the American Wood Council, WoodWorks and Think Wood, requiring a process that involved significant consensus building. 3GEM trains internal stakeholders on the use of the LMS, continues to provide LMS management and strategic planning, manages the relationship between SLB and its technology vendors, and provides end user support.
Precision Metalforming Association (PMA)
3GEM supported PMA in all aspects of strategic planning and implementation of its MetalformEDU program, designed to provide its members with 37 PMA-exclusive courses and more than 700 courses in cross-cutting workplace, employability and technical skills. 3GEM assisted PMA in negotiating contracts with content vendors, built business plans, identified and documented business processes and people requirements to support the business; and more.
